Here is one for the weekend.

Blurring the lines of R&B and pop, 20 year old Toronto local Abel Tesfaye is highly highly hyped right now. Since tracks off his album ‘House of Balloons’ leaked in late 2010, The Weeknd has found a massive supporter in Drake who has been tweeting his lyrics.

Think the underground hype of the XX last year, and the youth and rawness of Odd Future, Abel sings about sex and drugs and parties, just like what any old 20 year old has on the brain.

One thing about these songs is that they are massive growers – every time you listen they get better and better – just like The Weeknd’s future.
