LEVI HAWKEN – THE BOMB

Introducing: Levi Hawken. One of the homies. Local legend. Artist. Renowned loose unit. Dancefloor annihilator. In every way a G.O.A.T.

Known for bombing some of the most insane hills New Zealand’s Auckland city has to offer, namely Liverpool street (which is a couple of degrees off being the steepest road in the world, apparently), it doesn’t look like much on film, but rest assured that it’s very intense.

TVNZ have put his life in the spotlight, highlighting his struggles with his genetic disorder, ectodermal dysplasias, and being bullied as a young lad to his budding skate career. A very moving story from a very interesting dude.

I hate how the presenter takes him for a dummy for all the amazing things he does…. Like that ‘growing up’ question at the end ruined it for me.

This guy is an inspiration for me, I can’t imagine what he went through with all that he has had to face.
