LAZZY DIGGER’S GUIDE TO PARIS
Over the past few months, our good friend Gauthier, the man behind Lazzy Digger, has been providing YOLO with the hottest tunes and photographs that come his way. Because his playlists always set exactly the right kind of mood, we thought we’d entrust him to set the mood for your next Paris adventure. So here it is: Gauthier’s guide on where to Eat, Drink, and Dance in Paris… Lazy Digger style.
Eating

Le Bistrot d’Henri, 16 Rue Princesse, 6th Arr. +33 1 46 33 51 12
Chez Henry is an old French bistro where you can expect some very traditional french food (like their specialty “agneau de 7 heures aux pruneaux”).

Hotel Particulier Montmarte, 23 Avenue Junot, 18th Arr. +33 1 53 41 81 40
Hotel Particulier has one of the most beautiful restaurants in Paris. The food is delicious, the cocktails are nice and the location is just amazing.

La Cantoche, 97 Rue Montmartre, 2nd Arr. +33 1 40 41 09 62
A very friendly restaurant with reasonable prices and delicious food. A perfect way to start a night out in the bar/club area (Social Club/Rex Club/Le Pompon all nearby)

Le Rusti, 8 Rue des Tournelles, 4th Arr. +33 1 42 72 02 51
An Italian restaurant located between Bastille and Le Marais. It’s my favorite Italian restaurant in Paris – great food and nice staff.

Rose Bakery, 46 Rue des Martyrs, 9th Arr. +33 1 42 82 12 80; 30 Rue Debelleyme, 4th Arr. +33 1 49 96 54 01
The perfect place to brunch. This organic restaurant always serves up fresh and healthy food. You may have to line up to get in as it’s always busy, but you won’t be disappointed. Be sure you buy a sweet treat on your way out!

Hotel Amour, 8 Rue de Navarin +33 1 48 78 31 80
The restaurant of the Hotel Amour is always a good spot to have dinner with friends or to bring a date (you can ask for the table on the private terrasse).

Terrasse Hotel, 12 Rue Joseph de Maistre, 18th Arr. +33 1 46 06 72 85
This restaurant is only open during the summer. Located on the rooftop of a hotel in Montmatre, the venue gives you the best view of Paris, both charming and unique. Don’t forget to book a table, it’s always busy especially on weekends.

Ferdi, 32 Rue du Mont Thabor, 1st Arr. +33 1 42 60 82 52
Since the first time I ever went here, Le Ferdi has been my favorite restaurant in Paris. Not just for the food, but also because of the venue. You’ll need to go there to put your name down for a table as they don’t take bookings over the phone.
Drinking

Le Carmen, 34 Rue Duperré, 9th Arr. +33 1 45 26 50 00
This bar located in Pigalle is the most beautiful bar in Paris and the cocktails are amazing… that’s all you need to know!

Le Pompon, 39 Rue des Petites Écuries, 10th Arr. +33 1 53 34 60 85
Le Pompon is a very trendy and friendly bar, plus if you feel like dancing you can go in the small club located just underneath the first room.

Bar Hemingway, 15 Place Vendôme, 1st Arr. +33 1 43 16 33 65
The bar of the RITZ Palace is one of the most famous Parisian cocktail bars. This is one of those places in the world where you have go at least once.

Rosa Bonheur, 2 Allée de la Cascade, 19th Arr. +33 1 42 00 00 45
In the middle of the “Les Buttes Chaumonts” park, this bar is the place to enjoy the sunset. Only open during summer and be careful, the doors of the park close around 10pm, so you better get there before then.

Le Plastic, 13 Rue Jean Beausire, 4th Arr.
A very small bar with different kinds of music every night (bands or just Djs). It’s the spot to meet up with friends and drink some nice cocktails and good wine.
Dancing
Le Baron, 6 Avenue Marceau, 8th Arr. +33 1 47 20 11 10
My favorite club in Paris. It’s always fun and I love the music selection provided by the Parisian DJ crew TDA. Make sure you’re on a guest list if you’ve never been there before because it’s the hardest club to get in to.

Chez Moune, 54 Rue Pigalle, 9th Arr. +33 1 45 26 64 64
This very typical old cabaret located in Pigalle has turned into one of the classic clubs in Paris. It’s sexy and very trashy. I like the venue because they bring famous DJs and bands to play in such a small place and it always works.

Social Club, 142 Rue Montmartre, 2nd Arr. +33 1 40 28 05 55
The best music programmation in Paris. The club is big and you can always expect good artists to be playing.

Point Ephémére, 200 Quai de Valmy +33 1 40 34 02 48
I love this club because it’s very chilled out. If you feel like dancing you can go to the concert/club room or just enjoy the bar area and the nice view on canal St Martin.
