LOCATION: Perched on the edge of Mykonos harbour, Cavo Tagoo is built into a natural cliffside with vast views of the ocean. It has all the peace and quiet you need for a relaxing getaway, yet is only a ten minute walk into town.

ROOMS: 80 rooms, including 18 suites and 11 villas.

THE ROOM TO BOOK: The one bedroom golden villa with private pool is 60 squared feet and can sleep up to 4 persons. It features a lounge room, verandah, and private pool with an in-built double sun bed. The honeymoon suite is also an impressive space, as is the 2 bedroom villa for larger groups.

HIGHLIGHT: 30 of the rooms at Cavo have private pools, all of an impressive size, even in the Classic and Deluxe rooms. While a lazy afternoon by the main pool downstairs is not to be missed, make your way up to your private plunge in the early evening, hang from the infinity edge and watch the sun go down with a cocktail or champagne in hand. Having a swim in the morning is not a bad way to wake up either, and you’ll only have to walk a few feet from your bed.

DINING: Tagoo restaurant is positioned by the hotel’s main infinity pool. The menu consists of Mediterranean with Asian fusion. They also serve sushi. The kitchen is open until about 1am.

SPA: This holistic spa has an interesting treatment list which focuses on the healing properties of the Aegean Sea. Treatments include Greek Algae Therapy, a Mykonian Glow Scrub with Aegean sea salt, and Spa Cocoon using organic Greek aromatherapy.
