DEATHFACE TOP 5 USA EATS

Meet DEATHFACE. Part of the Trouble&Bass stable along with AC Slater, Boy 8-Bit and label owner Drop The Lime, he’s produced remixes for autoKratz, Huoratron and Buraka Som Sistema as well as being championed by the likes of Diplo and Pitchfork, has toured across the US multiple times and is known throughout for his live sets transversing a mix of genres and styles, whilst still keeping it heavy as fuck! With touring the states of the united, comes the need for good eateries, and while he might be less known for his culinary tastes, his eatery choices just made us drool uncontrollably.

This is Deathfaces’ top 5 USA eats, BYO napkins, slobber will occur.

Vegetarians, step off. This is not for you.

1. HOT DOUGS, 3324 North California Avenue, Chicago, Illinois (see map)
This place is listed on Anthony Bourdain’s 15 places to eat before you die for good reason. It’s known for having the most amazing sausages around and I’ve been to plenty of places across the US that tried to imitate this formula but come up painfully short, my favorite thing on the menu: Foie Gras and Sauternes Duck Sausage with Truffle Aioli, Foie Gras Mousse and Fleur de Sel, seriously guys, this is NO JOKE! (pictured above)

2. RUDYS
2451 South Capital of Texas Highway, Austin, Texas (see map)
(Multiple locations, specifically Austin, Texas) Hands down the finest beef bbq I’ve ever had, everytime I’m near one I make sure to stop and eat a half pound of the extra moist brisket, along with half a loaf of white bread and the biggest sweet tea (thats iced tea that’s brewed WITH sugar in the water for you aussies out there).  The brisket is so moist it looks like its had water spritzed on it, which you might think is the case if you didn’t actually get to see the butcher pull it out of the smoker and slice it in front of you to order.

3. OKLAHOMA JOES
, 3002 West 47th Avenue, Kansas City, Kansas (see map)
Another bbq spot but this one is also listed on Anthony Bourdain’s 15 places to eat before you die.  It’s easily the best bbq I’ve had north of the mason dixon line (that’s the line that seperated the confederate states from the union states in the civil war) and I might have to say that it’s the best pulled pork sandwich I’ve ever had, and I’ve actually made the trek to Lexinginton, North Carolina (which is supposedly the birthplace of Carolina style bbq) and this place has it beat.

4. RANALLIS
1512 W Berwyn, Chicago, Illinois (see map)
My favorite thin crust pizza, always go with capicolla and gorgonzola (double gorgonzola if you’re serious) and something about when a pizzeria cuts their pizza into squares that makes it so much more enjoyable.

5. EL TESORO
599 O’Farrell Street, San Francisco (see map)
The best burrito i’ve had in the world hands down is the steak and prawn burrito here. Everytime I go to SF I take a cab directly to this spot and order it (without beans if youre meeting a lady later) and then make my way to the club with a burrito baby in my belly that takes a shot of fernet to cut through.

(ed note: Instant case of the ravenous hungries)

We highly suggest you get to one of his gigs in your respective states, you won’t get to see him eat, but surely he can satisfy some sort of hunger for a dope party.
