MISS CONNIE’S ULTIMATE CARS GUIDE
Sneaky Sound System’s frontwoman Miss Connie Mitchell knows a thing or two about fine cars. She has a couple of her own in fact. Here are the ones she’d like to add to the collection.
Iso Grifo Can-Am Bertone Coupe 1970-77
Wow. Extremely rare. Very comfortable but at the same time very brutal machines to drive. Designed by Giotto Bizzarrini who worked for Ferrari (250 GTO) and also designed Lamborghinis in 1963. This car has the best of both worlds and is at the top of my list at present! White dress, 50’s pumps, and 50’s lingerie… ouch!
De Tomaso Pantera 1980
So… how can you not love an Italian Muscle car? A Ford 351 Cleveland V8 engine with 330 hp. The 1980 GT5-S with the wider body is THE ONE. Dubbed the “poor mans Lamborghini” and designed for the American market. Beautiful lines and gorgeous interior. She is a beauty.
Jaguar XJ Coupe 5.3 V12 1975-77
You cannot go past a Jaguar without admiring the sheer Heritage that it represents. This is pure class all the way, from the wood grained biscuit interior to the tyre scoops on the broadspeed. This car is “Gang Star”. Me want… like BAD!
Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso 1963
A favourite of the coolest man on the planet Steve McQueen, and of my partner in crime Angus McDonald. The 250 Lusso made it’s debut in Paris 1963. Here is the real deal because lets face it… there’s no substitute for a Ferrari.
Ferrari 365GT 2+2 1967-71
Based on the 330 that came out in ’64. 0-60 in seven seconds with a top speed of 150 mph. 320 horsepower which is pretty good from a 4.4 in 1967! Absolutely awesome… I mean really.
Ford Falcon XC Coupe 351 Cleveland
Well, well, a great Aussie Classic. Massive panels on this car. They don’t make ‘em like this anymore! This one needs fat tyres, any colour is fine but must be lowered, with 9” diff, twin exhaust and absolutely has to be V8!
Corvette Stingray 1969
Think blondes like Farrah Fawcett. Beautiful lines, a real beach cruiser. Up to 550 hp – that’s power. General Motor’s finest hour.
Land Rover Rapid Deployment Vehicle (RDV)
Do I have to explain? The most reliable army rapid deployment vehicle to date. They got it sooo right. Gun turrets extra.
With a top speed of 250mph, a V10 5.7 engine and looks that are pretty badass, she most definitely made the list.
The Black Knight Batman Tumbler
Described as a cross between a Lamborghini and a tank, the Tumbler is a serious super-car. Well a superhero does own it! At 4.5 metres long and about 3 metres wide it can jump 18 metres – I mean, how cool is that! Powered by a Vauxhall/GM engine it is capable of 500 horsepower. If I had Halle Berry’s body I’d be in it 24/7. FACT.
Maaaan, the immense power of this beast is astounding! 260 mph! What is the definition of fast? This.
Aston Martin Rizk DBR2 1957
This car is quite a beauty. Only two DBR2′s were ever made. Recent sale of a DBR2 fetched a price of £1,750,000. Jaguar V-12 engine… hello Darling!!!!
